Brad was born and raised in Northern Ontario, beginning his life’s journey in Nipigon, the home of the famous story Paddle to The Sea.
His lifelong passion for sports, fitness and his interest in how the human body moves led him to discover the perfect role for him in this career. Brad thoroughly enjoys every opportunity to help people understand how the human body functions, how feet can affect overall health, and help them achieve optimum (walking or running) mobility to stay active for life..
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Honours Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo, Brad immediately entered the pedorthic profession and has been practicing clinically since 1988.
As a Canadian Certified Pedorthist, he is an expert in lower limb biomechanics, and the design, manufacture and fit of custom foot orthoses (orthotics), footwear and footwear modifications.
With a Kinesiology background and over 32 years assessing how his patients walk, Brad is a human movement professional. His Kinesiology training provides him with an extensive understanding of the biomechanics and anatomy of the human body and the factors that affect human locomotion.
He has had many roles in the pedorthic industry, including president of the Pedorthic Association of Canada, has been an active board and committee member, and is currently the co-chair of the Professional Development committee.
Brad has received several awards from PAC throughout his career in recognition of his significant contributions, his service and leadership in the pedorthic profession.
He is married, has 3 sons and enjoys scuba diving, stand up paddling and photography in the incredible northern Bruce Peninsula.
